Christmas Scene Setters, Room Rolls & Backdrops: The Foundation of Your Party Decor

It's the Christmas season, but somehow your home or office lacks that holiday feeling of crisp winter air and welcoming hearths framed by stockings hung with care. In the American South, signs of Christmas may be even fainter. Trees have lost their leaves, and lawns may be less green than usual, but nothing much around you, save for the plastic Santa in your neighbor's yard, offers the assurance that Christmas is on its way.

Christmas scene setters, backdrops, and room rolls change all that in a hurry; nothing else transforms a setting as fast and completely. They dominate a wall or room with iconic images of snowmen, winter landscapes, cracking fireplaces, and Santa's workshop.

These vinyl wall decorations can also serve as the foundation for an elaborate display. You can overlay them with Christmas cutouts, gel clings, hanging decorations, and home-made crafts to create a truly unique Christmas landscape. You can trim them to size, wrap them around corners, and hang them indoors or out. Your only limit is your imagination.

All scene setters and room rolls are reusable. Properly cared for, they can last several seasons. Fold them down after the holidays and store them with the rest of your Christmas decor! For mounting, we recommend Stick Tack (reusable adhesive putty), but tape and tacks work as well.

Christmas scene setters, room rolls, and backdrops: what's the difference?

Christmas Room Rolls

Room rolls are giant decorations that cover an entire wall. Even more than scene setters, these are "foundational" decorations to be used with complementary wall decor. An example of this would be a room roll depicting a brick wall or a panoramic winter scene.

Christmas Scene Setters

Scene setters are smaller than room rolls, typically measuring six feet high or more and nearly as wide. They display smaller scenes like a crackling winter hearth, a richly decorated Christmas tree, or a cheerful snowman. They can be placed over a room roll to add a level of detail.

Christmas Backdrops

Scene setters and room rolls are technically backdrops, but backdrop decorations also include life-size cardboard cutouts and large wall decals. Backdrops are often used as theme for Christmas photo booths or as accents in a Christmas party decorating scheme.
