Is DampRid harmful to pets or children?
Although DampRid is an all natural product, it should still be placed out of the reach of children and pets.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not ingest.
In the event of eye contact, remove contact lenses if necessary and immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes, then if required seek medical attention.
If skin contact, wash area thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
If ingested, get immediate medical attention.
Follow directions when disposing of the product.

What do I do if I accidentally spill some of the collected liquid?
Use a wet/dry vacuum or towel to absorb as much of the liquid as you can. Continue to pour regular tap water onto the spill to dilute the concentration of the liquid. If you don't dilute or clean the spot, the spilled liquid will continue to absorb excess moisture, and the spot may get larger.

Should I break-up or chip the DampRid crystals after they harden and form a solid mass?
No, crystals will solidify as a normal part of the excess moisture-absorbing process.
Why are there crystals that resemble ice in the bottom chamber?
This can be caused by a sudden change in either temperature or humidity. To remove the crystals, run water over the formation until it dissolves.
Should I empty the collected liquid before all the DampRid crystals have dissolved?
No, instead of evaporating into the air, the liquid will continue to absorb a small amount of moisture.
Should I add more DampRid crystals to the top of the container before they are all dissolved?
No, allow all the crystals to dissolve before adding more, otherwise it may alter the
absorption process or damage the plastic container.
When should I empty the container?
Empty the container when all the crystals have dissolved from the basket.
Why does the top of the crystals change colour?
The top of the crystals may change colour from impurities called bromide, which do not affect DampRid's performance.
How long will this product control moisture?
The Refillable Moisture Absorber provides up to 45 days of moisture control, depending on temperature and conditions. Refill it with one of the DampRid Refill products.
Do I need to buy a new container each time?
The Refillable Moisture Absorber container is reusable and will last for many years.
How should I dispose of the liquid?
You can flush the liquid down the toilet or pour it in the sink; it's septic safe.

No, they are a disposable product.
How long does the Hanging Moisture Absorber last?
The Moisture Absorber lasts up to 60 days depending on temperature and conditions.
Disposable Product questions
Is the Disposable Moisture Absorber spill-proof?
No, but the protective cover helps make it spill-resistant. If the Disposable Moisture Absorber is flipped over for an extended time the protective cover may become saturated and some of the collected liquid may escape.
When should I discard this unit?
Discard it responsibly when all the DampRid crystals have dissolved from the top of the unit.

How does the Odor Genie work?
The Odor Genie combines a solid gel with a layer of activated charcoal to continuously absorb stubborn odours from the air. It does not remove excess moisture.
Use it anywhere recurring odours are a problem.
